About
Hi, my name is Ingrid Schutte and I would like to thank you for stopping by my blog. I was born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany, and am currently attending university in the United States. While I had plenty of opportunities to attend school in my native Germany, I wanted to take some time to visit other countries and improve my English, which I have studied since I was a very young girl. This was due to the fact that my father is American who met my mother while he was stationed with the Air Force in Germany.
I thought that one of the best ways I could go about improving my English was to write on a daily basis, or at least as often as possible, which is why I started this blog. I’m sure many of you are curious about the title of my site, “Was Ziehst Du Heute An, “ and as you may have already guessed by now that it is German and basically translates to “what are you up to today?”
I thought that it was an appropriate title as I am going to use the pages of my blog to talk about the things that I see and do during my time here in the United States. Hopefully you will all find it interesting enough to come back and visit regularly and I also hope that my English is readable and understandable to everyone that takes the time to stop by. If you happen to see a mistake, then please feel free to leave a comment and let me know where I went wrong. I’m sure my Dad will be stopping by to read and will be quick to correct me as he is the one who got me interested in the language in the first place, but hopefully you can all beat him to it.
