Like an episode straight out of the X-Files, PRS journeys to Point Pleasant, West Virginia to investigate Ryan’s own personal holy grail of paranormal lore: the mysterious Mothman. In the late Sixties this hideous cryptid was the scourge of the community, terrifying citizens and… eating dogs!

To separate fact from fiction and determine the truth behind the Mothman, PRS has some close encounters with eye-witnesses, top-secret government bunkers and ancient Indian burial grounds.

With Laura Linney and Debra Messing in underdeveloped roles, The Mothman Prophecies feels a bit underdeveloped itself (and ends in desperate need of Mulder and Scully).
